Registration Now Open

The Glaucoma New Zealand Symposium will be held in August 2018. This is a one day education event for optometrists and other eye health professionals.

  • WHERE: Alexandra Park Function Centre, Green Lane West, Epsom, Auckland. There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
  • WHEN: Sunday 19 August 2018, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • CONFERENCE PROGRAMME: The overall theme of the 2018 GNZ Glaucoma Symposium will be exploring the relationship between optometry and ophthalmology. This will be done through topics that focus specifically on this, cases which are examples of strong robust collaboration, and presentation of shared care models from around the country. There will be a focus on identifying glaucoma cases that require prioritisation and emergency glaucoma. There will be an interactive case-based session which was very popular in the 2017 symposium. The scientific programme will be overseen by Professor Helen Danesh-Meyer. Speakers from both optometry and ophthalmology will be present.

Further information about the programme will be posted here as it becomes available – watch this space!

  • Cost: $130 per delegate for a full day of glaucoma education
  • Professional Education: TBC - Application for up to 5.9 clinical diagnostic (CD) professional education points
